A man who was knocked down by a car in Newport earlier this week has thanked the emergency services and public that went to his aid.
Ash Brewer was crossing the road on Pyle Street when he was hit by a vehicle near to Subway at around 12:30 on Tuesday afternoon.
Although he reached out and put his hand on the bonnet of the car, he ended up being thrown into the middle of the carriageway.
Emergency services were called to the scene and Police closed the road.
Now at home recovering, Mr Brewer has reached out to Island Echo to express his thanks to the Police, paramedics and members of the public that assisted him.
