A 23-year-old man has been arrested after another man suffered an ear injury during a fight in Sandown on Thursday evening.
Police were called at 18:10 yesterday to reports of 2 men fighting at a property on Fort Street – understood to be Sandham House.
Officers attended the scene and established that a man had sustained injuries to his ear.
Following enquiries, a 23-year-old man from Sandown was arrested nearby on Avenue Road, on suspicion of aggravated bodily harm, using abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress, and assaulting an emergency worker.
He remains in custody while enquiries continue.
A great example as to why HMO’S don’t work on the island.
They don’t work anywhere but why should the island be

Last time I looked Isle of Wight is still in the UK

is that more ethnic shops have opened up in Sandown.
Apart from that it is Croydon on Sea!

Whenever family visit the island we always make sure
they avoid Sandown at all costs.
Sandown was great back in the 1980s
It will take many years to be great again!
Shanklin is a much better option.
