A Newport man has been arrested, questioned and bailed on suspicion of making threats to kill and stalking.
Officers attended an address on Quarry View, on the Camp Hill estate, across several days before making an arrest on Sunday morning.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed that a 37-year-old man was detained on suspicion of criminal damage to property valued under £500, stalking involving fear of violence, and making threats to kill.
He was taken into custody at Newport Police Station for questioning.
He has since been bailed with conditions until 16th February 2026, whilst enquiries continue.
What is becoming of this once peaceful island.

The person is on bail. He hasn’t definitely done what is being accused? We do not know the reason why the person or even if he acted out the way is being said
Also im sure if he got bailed. That makes him not a risk I guess?
