A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill after a woman was threatened in Ryde this morning (Monday). Multiple Police vehicles were seen rushing to the seaside town shortly after 08:00 when Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary received a report of threats being made towards a woman. Officers attended an address on Esplanade and arrested a 32-year-old man from Ryde on suspicion of making threats to kill and harassment. He remains in custody at Newport Police Station at this time and enquiries are ongoing. No injuries have been reported.
