40-year-old Prince Francis will appear in the Crown Court next month charged with intentional strangulation, engaging in controlling behaviour and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Mr Francis, now of South Street in Eastbourne but originally from India, appeared before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court – dressed in a Hawaiian shirt – on 29th July charged with numerous offences relating to his alleged conduct between November 2023 and November 2024.
He is accused of assaulting and controlling his former partner at their home in Totland, and assaulting a neighbour.
The case has been sent up to the Isle of Wight Crown Court where the accused will appear on 1st September.
