A 55-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to 2 charges of exposing his penis following separate incidents in Ventnor in October of last year.
Carl Hamling, of Steephill Road in Ventnor, is accused of intentionally exposing his genitals on 14th October 2021 and again on 18th October 2021 intending that someone would see them and be caused alarm or distress.
The Isle of Wight Magistrates Court heard from the Crown Prosecution Service that Hamling is accused of exposing himself whilst wearing a boiler suit with no undergarments on 2 occasions; the first resulting in 2 people in a car seeing his penis and testicles, and the second occasion resulting in a couple walking their dog seeing his pubic hair and penis.
The case has been adjourned for the trial at the Isle of Wight Crown Court on 6th June.

An odd thing to do. Seems it is only men who feel the need to do such odd antics. Heaven knows why
charn..so, the women that have streaked across football matches don’t count then or perhaps the women that intentionally wear clothing that ensures a “wardrobe malfunction” is all but guaranteed are not strange attention seekers engaging in “odd things to do”
Not to mention those ‘celebs’ who didn’t know that getting out of a sports car 6 inches off the ground whilst wearing a micro skirt and no underwear could possibly result in naughty pictures being published… oh shock horror! The world is full of exhibitionists of all shapes, sizes and gender.
Further evidence that the world has gone totally bonkers. From either (assuming there are just two) angle, this is ridiculous.
Ridiculous if a man of that age get’s off on exposing himself.
Equally as ridiculous if those who say they saw his meat and two veg were alarmed or even distressed. My money would be on them laughing their asses off and the call to 101 if we could hear it, would probably confirm that.
It would be a different story of course if a child had been involved. But my god, on the face of it? It’s bizarre to me – as I said – on both sides.
Has anybody actually read the CPS and College of Policing guidance on public nudity? It would appear not as simply being naked in public is not a criminal offence! If he’s jumped out waving his tackle about intending to offend, different story but report does not make anything clear!
It is if someone is offended, clearly they were in this case as they reported it to the police
Not actually true, there has to be an intention to offend.
At least he had the decency to cover the rest of himself up, give the man a break ( Joke btw before u all slaughter me )…… very odd behaviour though ….. he should have worn a flasher Mack
Persumably there is a stiff penalty for this.
