Wight Coaches is celebrating continued success after being crowned Growth Business of the Year at the 2025 Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce Business Awards earlier this month.
The accolade recognised a year of major progress for the travel company, including the expansion of its fleet with modern, low-emission Euro 6 vehicles and the addition of 2x 16-seat minibuses.
The firm has also invested in staff development by introducing in-house driver training with the support of professional instructor Paul Wheeler, ensuring a skilled and confident team committed to providing high standards of service.
These developments have positioned Wight Coaches as a leading provider of coach and minibus hire on the Isle of Wight, with a focus on reliability, comfort, and environmentally responsible transport.
Director Josh Harris accepted the award on the night and was caught off guard by the win, keeping his acceptance speech short when prompted by presenter Jamie Laing. It marked a special moment for Josh, who was unable to attend the 2024 awards – when Wight Coaches won Startup Business of the Year – due to a hospital stay.

Josh has said:
“This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our incredible team, and of course, to our loyal customers who continue to put their trust in us for their travel needs.”
Wight Coaches was recognised alongside other strong finalists including Island Echo, Strings Bar & Venue, and Superior Bespoke Furniture & Kitchens.

Congratulations to Wight Coaches.
My personal favourite is Dave’s coaches
