Yeah but it will only be summer jobs! By September they will be out of work again..
Soon when the 15 minute cities arrive, just like they are in Oxford and Canturbury.
No one will be working anyway.
It will be Working from Home or Social Credit System (universal basic income)
It’s coming everyone.
The plandemic was an excuse to bring in the re-set.
People still don’t have a clue what’s happening.
Go on the World Economic Forum website and see for yourselves.
I think I’m right in that these places stay open the whole year?
Yes, probably not so many jobs in the winter period but, come on, we shouldn’t be complaining about opportunities like this. People do enough moaning about not enough employment opportunities on the Island, but when more than 500 jobs are on offer from one company, albeit many part-time roles and maybe not the full year, they still complain.
Given the number of people who, apparently, can’t find a job, Parkdean should be overrun with applicants.
Well said Steve, totally agree with you
Yes, but at least they’ll have SOMETHING on their CV for future employers, even if it’s only 6-9 months work. At least it would show they’re making the effort to get out and work.
Or, maybe you think people shouldn’t bother?
Better off getting a job with the hedge hoppers down at The Fairway (holiday) park in Sandown imo, ask me no questions and i will tell you no lies…..s**m.
Surely this is a positive, even if the jobs are seasonal work.
For one, It,s an opportunity for students to get some work experience through the summer break and earn a bit of money.I did the same many years ago over three summers. I learnt an awful lot, met friends for life and have nothing but fond memories from this time. It stood me in good stead going forward in my career.
500 is a LOT of new staff for those 4 sites, What are Parkdean up to, take over of more IOW holiday parks
Yea but they need to pay a decent wage people can’t survive on minimum wage, unfortunately there better off on benefits, which is wrong when the minimum wage goes up then there be no excuse
