Motorists travelling to and from Ryde can expect disruption as the main road through Havensrteet has been closed – and is unlikely to re-open until tomorrow evening.
Earlier today (Thursday) Havenstreet Main Road was closed to allow Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks to repair a fault under emergency works.
The issue has now been fixed and efforts are underway to reinstate the site.
Island Roads says that it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday evening, allowing the road to re-open at that time.
Access remains to properties on either side of the repair.
