Lucy Burke emerged victorious as Ladies’ Club Champion and winner of the Scratch Salver with a gross score of 159 during Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club’s Ladies’ Club Championship, held over 2 days this week. Runner up was Bev Whorwood with 169 and Ronnie Hirst took 3rd place with 173. The event was held on Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th July. Ronnie Hirst won the Handicap Cup with a nett score of 143, with Vicki Guildford taking 2nd with 146 and Lucy Burke with 147 taking 3rd. The Gallop Cup was won by Ronnie Hirst with a net 69. Lucy Burke took 2nd with 70. 3rd place went to Bev Whorwood with 75. The Ladies’ Bronze Champion, and winner of the Berry Salver, with a gross 209 was Lorrie Hawkins. Christine O’Brien was runner up with 214 on countback from Fran Cole. The Harrison Trophy was won by Sarah Nye with 36 points, with Vicki Guildford carding 35 taking 2nd. Chris Ellis took 3rd place with 33 points. 
After 2 days of lovely weather on a stunning Freshwater Bay Golf Course, the winners of the Club Ladies Championship have been revealed.
