Ladies’ Champion Lucy Burke with the Scratch Salver and the Handicap Cup

Lucy Burke secured victory during Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club’s Ladies’ Championship last month.

The competition was held over 2 days and, at the end of the second day, it was Lucy that emerged victorious as Ladies’ Champion and winner of the Scratch Salver with a gross score of 158.

Runner up was Dawn Hodge with 163 and Catherine Bachelor took third place with 171.

Lucy also won the Handicap Cup with a total nett score of 144 with Catherine Bachelor taking the runner up spot on countback from Dawn Hodge with 151.

The Gallop Cup was won by Catherine Bachelor with a nett 72 on countback. Joyce Petrie was runner up and Lucy Burke came third on 74.

The Ladies’ Bronze Champion and winner of the Berry Salver with a Stableford score of 76 was Viv Williams. Katie Lucas was runner up with 74 points and Anna Garriock was third with 66 points.

The Harrison Trophy (Stableford) was won by Lillian Bushby with 37 points ahead of Katie Lucas on 35 and Hazel Smith taking third place with 33 on countback.
