Lucy Burke beat 7 other ladies to take the Royal IW Medal at Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club (SSGC) on Saturday (24th April).
The Royal Isle of Wight Medal is played annually by the ladies of SSGC who have won a medal competition throughout the preceding year.
7 ladies took to the course to contest the medal, which dates from 1882 and was gifted to Shanklin & Sandown, together with other memorabilia, when the Royal Isle of Wight Golf Club at St Helens closed in 1961.
The winner was Lucy Burke, scoring a gross 79 (net 71). Runner up was Catherine Bachelor with a gross 83 (net 73) and taking 3rd place was Connie Huntington with a gross 101 (net 74).
