A yellow weather warning for ice has been issued for the Isle of Wight as temperatures overnight are expected to drop to freezing.
IW Met Service says that parts of the Island may see the mercury drop slightly below 0c, leading to the risk of ice formation on roads and walkways, especially in more rural parts.
This is largely due to leftover surface water from last night’s rainfall.
The warning is in force from 01:00 until 11:00 tomorrow (Saturday).
Islanders should be aware of hazardous driving conditions with near-invisible black ice, as well as slippery footpaths and walkways.
