Beach goers at Ryde were left confused and concerned this afternoon (Friday) when a microlight flew less than 50ft above their heads.
The light aircraft swooped down over Appley Beach before travelling at a low level towards Puckpool and around the point to Seaview.
It’s not thought that the microlight was in difficulty and there have been no reports of any downed aircraft.
