13 ladies took to the course to vie for the Thomas Cup at Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club on Sunday (6th April).
The Thomas Cup was donated to the Ladies’ Section of Shanklin and Sandown Golf Club 53 years ago by Mrs. Alice Thomas.
It is played for annually by ladies who have won, or were runner-up, in either a Stableford or Par competition throughout the preceding year.
Ladies’ Captain Lorrie Hawkins who emerged victorious with 38 points on countback from Gail Boyer, with Brenda Keyte on 36 points taking 3rd place.
