Local photographer and weather forecaster Jamie Russell has captured on camera a light dusting of snow at the highest point on the Isle of Wight.
Whilst St Boniface Down in Ventnor experienced snowfall overnight, most other places across the Island saw rain or sleet, with locals waking to icy conditions on the roads.
Some snow was seen in Cowes and Shanklin yesterday but this quickly turned to rain to create a slush.
Unfortunately, the Isle of Wight missed out on significant accumulations of snow with nearby areas such as Southampton and the New Forest experiencing several centimetres.
