Darren Seward, who was brought up on the Island and now lives in Cowes, has been appointed an agent and partner at NFU Mutual New Forest, Isle of Wight & Bournemouth agency. The agency has grown over the last 3 years, and Darren’s internal appointment is part of the agency’s plan for continued sustainable growth. Darren moved to the agency in 2022, bringing with him over 35 years of commercial and corporate insurance experience, most latterly specialising in hospitality, tourism and food and drink. He has a comprehensive understanding of the hospitality and tourism sector locally and is well-known to many of the agency’s major customers and partners in the region including Hampshire Fare and Services for Tourism and BAHA (BH Area Hospitality Association), where he serves as a committee member. This is a great achievement, and the agency is excited to strengthen its relationship with the association. His new role will further increase focus in this important sector across the South Coast whilst continuing to provide the best care for our customers and supporting our work with local businesses and partnerships. John Heather, Senior Agent at the New Forest, Isle of Wight and Bournemouth agency commented:
“I am delighted that Darren has become an agent in our business. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge, in commercial and corporate insurance and in the hospitality and tourism sector, helping us to increasingly focus on this critical sector for the South Coast area”.
Darren Seward, Agent said:
“I have been working for the agency for two years and previously at NFU Mutual’s Head Office for eight years. I love working with the excellent team that we have and am really pleased to have the opportunity to take on the Agent role. I am looking forward to helping the team to develop our support for local businesses and deepening partnerships with business partners across New Forest, Isle of Wight and Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole areas”.

Hope there business insurance is better than home, quoted me £3100 when 90% of others were less than £1500 and eventually I’ve got it with a well known UK company for £846.
So many sharks in this world.
Hope that their Car Insurance comes back to a real quote this year for people with a clean bill of health car insurance wise, as last year their quote were ridiculous and I had been a loyal customer, which obviously doesn’t pay
