A golf tournament was held at Freshwater Bay Golf Club last weekend to raise funds for teams taking part in the Island Games this summer.
The format was an ‘Am Am’ and there were 28 groups of 4 taking part in the competition on the course which played brilliantly in the sunshine.
A total amount of £1,400 was raised on the day, this money will help go towards funding the Isle of Wight’s 2 golf teams.
The winners were:
- 1st. Kate Palfrey, Paul Woodcock, Alex Katsikides, Richard Sisted – 94
- 2nd. Harry Cheek, Darren Bacon, Richard Bond, David Wollfenden – 93
- 3rd. Mark Dyer, Ben Thurman, Nick Riby, Pieter Shelden – 92
