Yarmouth RNLI went to the aid of a 20ft speedboat during the early hours of this morning (Friday) after it lost all power whilst out on the Solent.
Following a busy period recently for the volunteer crew of the RNLI station, Solent Coastguard once again tasked the all weather lifeboat (ALB) to launch, this time shortly before 04:00.
After spending more than 15 minutes searching for the vessel, the lifeboat crew requested that two flares were fired to help locate the speedboat and its crew of fishermen.
Successfully located, a tow was established and both the lifeboat and the broken down speedboat safely headed back to Yarmouth Harbour.
