Isle of Wight Division 1 Football Club Pan Community FC have announced the sad loss of their long-serving and greatly respected manager Steve Case this morning (Friday).
Steve had been involved in Pan football for over half a century. Pan achieved considerable success last year, winning the Hampshire Vase, the Isle of Wight Junior ‘A’ Cup and the Isle of Wight Division 2 Championship.
‘Caser’ – as he is affectionately known within the Island football community – had been ill for some time and was battling stage 4 cancer. He had also suffered several heart attacks. However, this did not prevent the much-loved Island Football stalwart from watching Pan perform this season.
First-team coach Josh Davies has said on the Pan Community Facebook page:
“It is with an extremely heavy heart we must announce the passing of our manager Steve Case aka Caser.
“Steve sadly passed away early this morning.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with family at this very sad time.
“We will ensure his name lives on within the club and community for years to come.
“UP THE STEVE CASE”.

So sadly lovely man always a pleasure to talk to RIP
