This is your weekly round-up of some of the latest court cases heard at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court.

Monday 17th April – Friday 21st April 2023
• Paul Bishton, 31, of Sandown Road, Shanklin pleaded guilty to criminal damage. He was ordered to pay £250 compensation.
• Luke Rose, 33, of Reed Street, Ryde pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled drug of Class B – Cannabis. He was fined £133 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £34 surcharge.
• Ricky Harms, 41, of Moorland Road, Fratton pleaded guilty to 2 charges of drug driving. He was banned from driving for 23 months, fined £1,333 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £533 surcharge.
• Jesse Green, 27, of Newport Road, Freshwater pleaded guilty to failing to provide. He was banned from driving for 30 months, fined £461 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £184 surcharge.
• Jonathan Nash, 58, of Westcourt Close, Shorwell pleaded guilty to 3x assault by beating of an emergency worker and 1x assault by beating. He was made subject to a 18-month community order with a 12-month alcohol treatment requirement and 30 rehabilitation days. He was ordered to pay £150 compensation.

Since they have been proven guilty, I absolutely agree, Show Their Faces.
Mr Thick must have been put away for his damages etc as not seen his name for some time.. funny how the social services go through booking .com etc to put these people in a room until they have their hearing, most hotels are used on the island so when booking for yourself you really need to find out if an offender is in the next room to you !!
Drug drivers and people attacking ambulance staff. Same old.
So convicted of 3x assault and beating an emergency worker, but still no prison sentence….!!?
They give 2 many chances. 2sum who have given up years ago, also it is IW most likley 1/3 possibly a wrongun! Supose Depends on how wrong wrong to if get fed,watered n bedded hmp’s surely no room at Inns?
