This is your weekly round-up of some of the latest court cases heard at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court.

Monday 12th May – Friday 16th May 2025
• Jamie Hewitt, 42, Green Street in Ryde, admitted 2x theft from a shop. He was handed a £587 compensation order.
• Billy Chilcott, 31, of Green Street in Ryde, admitted criminal damage. He was handed a £680 compensation order.
• Jimmy Parr, 29, of Arthur Street in Ryde, admitted possession of a controlled drug of class-B. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a £32 surcharge fee.
• Paris Fleet, 26, of Lavender Way in Newport, admitted theft from a shop and 2x assault a constable in the execution of their duty. She was fined £112 and ordered to pay a £26 compensation order. She was also made to pay £85 court costs.
• Amber Banham-Gage, 22, of George Street in Ryde, admitted theft from a shop, fail to surrender to court and failing to comply with a community protection notice. She was handed an 18-month community order with 25 rehabilitation activity days attached.
• Carl Isham, 40, of Vectis Road in East Cowes, admitted common assault of an emergency worker and use threatening words/abusive behaviour to cause fear of violence. He was handed a 12-month community order with 15 rehabilitation days attached. He was also fined £120 and ordered to pay £75 compensation.
• Perry Masters, 42, of Barton Road in Newport, admitted theft from a shop. He was handed an £8.35 compensation order and told to pay £30 costs.
• Christopher Dickinson, 30, of Pellhurst Road in Ryde, admitted assault by beating and possession of a controlled drug of class-A. He was handed an 18-month community order with a 90 day alcohol abstinence requirement and 20 rehabilitation days attached. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge fee.

I’ve noticed Amber Banham-Gage appears on court listings often. When I search on Google, she seems to be frequently in the courts. Yet, the sentencing is too lenient as she continues to commit crimes.
The judicial system is a joke. Amber Banham-Gage continues to reoffend, yet Lucy Connolly remains in prison for sharing her opinion in a tweet.
Yes, it’s a flaming joke, they are just ignoring any punishment they get because nothing will be done about it, just more fines metered out with no hope of payment. The country has gone to pot.
Law and Order sadly no longer exists.
