UPDATED: Some 137 postcode areas have been hit by a power cut in the West Wight this afternoon (Tuesday) as the bad weather continues.
Residential and commercial properties in the PO40 and PO41 region have been hit by the outage, which occurred at 12:41.
Southern and Scottish Energy say an engineer is expected on site at 13:15 with power restored at 13:45, although this is likely to be longer.
It follows a power cut in the Rookley and Newport areas this morning, which was resolved by 12:00.
UPDATE @ 13:30 – Power has now been restored to all properties.
