Part of East Cowes seafront has been closed this afternoon (Friday) following a landslip.
Concerns for safety have been raised after part of the woodland beyond the children’s play area slipped, breaking through a supporting wall and onto the carriageway.
The Esplanade has been closed from the play area to the castle.
This photograph taken last week, supplied by an Island Echo reader, shows how the woodland has been moving recently, with fears growing that a larger section of the woodland could move closer to the sea.
