8 ladies took to the course at Shanklin and Sandown Golf Club last Sunday (30th April) to contest The Royal Isle of Wight Medal.
The Royal Isle of Wight Medal is played annually by the ladies of Shanklin and Sandown Golf Club who have won a medal competition throughout the preceding year.
The Medal dates from 1882 and was gifted to Shanklin & Sandown, together with other memorabilia, when the Royal Isle of Wight Golf Club closed in 1961.
The winner was Anna Garriock, with a net 73, the runner-up was Lucy Burke, net 76 and, taking 3rd place, was Jane Wilson, net 79.
