Shanklin & Sandown golf club members enjoyed competing in the McClelland trophy event at the club last week.
The McClelland Trophies were donated in 2018 by Margaret McClelland, Shanklin and Sandown’s longest-serving playing member.
The fun 9-hole greensome stableford competition is played twice a year and, as the teams are drawn, brings together some very unlikely partnerships.
Taking the honours last Thursday were Ruth Graves and Donna Beason with 20 points, with Anne Corby and Jane Wilson taking 2nd place on countback with 19.
The prize for the longest drive on the 8th went to Jane Wilson.
