UPDATED: Three pumping appliances from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are this evening tackling a kitchen fire in Sandown.
The crews were called to St Johns Road in the town shortly before 20:00.
It is currently unknown if anyone has been injured in the incident.
Island Echo understands that the blaze has broke out in a house near to The Old Comical Pub.
UPDATE @ 20:32 – Fire crews have now left the scene of the incident in Sandown.
Two crews were stood down with one appliance from Sandown remaining until 20:30.
The fire was out on arrival.
An ambulance is in attendance, however it is understood that no persons have been seriously injured.
