Following an 8-week junior class programme which took place at both the West Wight Sports Centre and Freshwater Bay Golf Club, juniors celebrated by brandishing their FBGC membership cards. 25 Juniors graduated through the programme run by PGA golf professional James Veal, with it hoped that many will become part of regular monthly golf classes run by the club. Golf club director and junior co-ordinator Peter Bonnell commented that the club has developed a superb 4-hole circuit, saying:
“We have given junior members priority practice times so they can develop their skills.”
