
Competition was fierce at Shanklin and Sandown Golf Club’s Championship over the weekend of 26th and 27th August with 84 members participating.
After day 1, Joseph Green had a significant lead having posted a fantastic score of 64 (nett 65).
At the end of day 2, the results were as follows:
Club Championship (36 holes gross). Winner and Club Champion:
Joseph Green with a gross 134, runner up Conner Knight with a gross 147.
Peter Hammond Cup (18 holes nett Saturday):
Winner Joseph Green nett 65, runner up Alan Parker nett 67.
Melville Hall Cup (18 holes nett Sunday):
Winner Mitch Young nett 66, runner up Reece Sibley nett 67.
Roger Matthews Salver (36 holes nett):
Winner Joseph Green nett 136, runner up Sam Cornwell nett 138.
Hill Quaish (over 55s 36 holes gross):
