A stellar line-up including the likes of David Guetta, Rag N Bone Man and Kaiser Chiefs – mixed in with the glorious sunshine – made the heavy rain showers of yesterday a distant memory for revellers during Day 2 of the Isle of Wight Festival today (Friday).
It wasn’t just the Main Stage acts that kept the crowds entertained with The Pretenders, Alison Moyet and Lucy Spraggan all performing in the Big Top for a truly rememberable ‘Girl’s night out’.
British Breakthrough Act Rag N Bone Man made his festival experience extra special when he took the helm of the Wightlink ferry after being invited onto the bridge whilst crossing the Solent. But before performing to thousands of eager fans, the rising star headed into Newport and surprised shoppers with selfies in Sainsbury’s.
Headliner David Guetta didn’t disappoint with his first festival appearance of the season as he pumped out hit after hit across Seaclose Park and beyond. In the back of the crowd’s minds there was hope that teen heart-throb Justin Bieber would make a Festival debut appearance to team up with Guetta following the release of their new song ‘2U’ today.
The action continues tomorrow with music from top acts including Arcade Fire, The Kooks, Texas and Zara Larrson.
