Parents and carers in Isle of Wight West are being invited to a coffee morning in Newport later this month to discuss the Government’s SEND White Paper and share their experiences of the system.
Richard Quigley MP is hosting the event on Saturday 21st March from 10:30-11:30 as part of the 12-week consultation period on the Government’s proposed reforms.
The meeting is aimed at parents, carers and others with experience of the special educational needs and disabilities system who live in Isle of Wight West.
Those attending will hear from the MP about the proposed changes set out in the White Paper before taking part in a structured discussion, with an opportunity to share views in smaller groups.
Notes gathered during the event will be collated by Richard Quigley and his team and shared with the Secretary of State for Education.
Constituents who wish to attend must register in advance by emailing [email protected].
They are being asked to include their full name, address and contact number when registering. Further details will then be provided.

12 billion a year in england wasted on ”send” with little return..lets spend on the best of the countries children and make us a great country again.
while you’re at it..(following the same line of reasoning, you used) cut all adult social care! after all, that has even less ‘Return’..
£34.5 billion in 2024/25, spent on keeping old & disabled people alive.. when they do nothing towards making Britain great again…
I bet you get all exceited every time you see Farage or Trump on TV…
“12 billion a year… wasted….lets spend on…“… wait…
