The Isle of Wight Pompey Supporters Club has kicked off the year with a generous donation of £1,540 to Mountbatten, the club’s Charity of the Year.
The funds were raised through a series of fan-led activities and events, providing crucial support to Mountbatten’s services on the island.
In a special moment, Duncan Fleming, Director of Quality, Data, and Information at Pompey, presented the cheque alongside John Mousinho, Portsmouth FC’s manager, and Chris Hougham, Chairman of the IW Pompey Supporters Club.
The event celebrated the collaboration between the club and the local community, underscoring the importance of supporting vital services like those provided by Mountbatten.
The donation will help fund Mountbatten’s ongoing care projects and services, which offer hospice and palliative care to families across the Isle of Wight.
The IW Pompey Supporters Club’s continued involvement with Mountbatten highlights their commitment to giving back to the community, and with additional fundraising efforts planned throughout the year, the supporters are determined to keep making a difference.
