I do not agree to all those that remove their garage, turn into study or extra bedroom etc… unless there are other parking arrangements in place off road. The idea of a garage is to help get cars OFF the roads…
Very true.
Some Households have 3 or more vehicles plus work vehicles parked down many roads.
So frustrating for others when trying to park after a hard day’s work.
Parking permits is the fairest way for all, that would encourage many households to reduce the number of vehicles they own (they can’t drive them all at once)
Alternatively charge additional Council Tax for the number of vehicles an Household owns.
