It’s that time of the year again when it is all eyes to the skies as the Isle of Wight takes part in the traditional November celebrations! Island Echo has compiled a list of firework and bonfire events due to take place this November.

CANCELLED: Arreton Barns Bonfire and Fireworks Night
ARRETON BARNS, ARRETON | FRIDAY 1ST NOVEMBER
UPDATED 31ST OCTOBER: A statement issued on the Arreton Barns Facebook Page has announced the event has now been cancelled.
“Due to adverse weather conditions, we regret to announce that we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Bonfire and Firework Night.
“This is due to the field (following a lot of wet weather recently) not being suitable for cars to park.

Bembridge Fireworks Night
BEMBRIDGE YOUTH AND COMMUNITY CENTER, STYNE ROAD, BEMBRIDGE | FRIDAY 1ST NOVEMBER | 18:30 – 20:30
Bembridge Fireworks Night will be held in Steyne Park on Friday 1st November from 18:30 until 20:30. This year we will have stalls in the hall, food stalls outside, DJ on the terrace and the bar will be open all night with fireworks at 19:30. Please don’t bring any sparklers or fireworks into Steyne Park on the night and remember the car park will be closed and there will be ‘no waiting’ cones along Steyne Road.
Its free entry but we are asking if everyone would be kind enough to make a donation on the night, all monies raised will go to the BYCC and this great village event.
CANCELLED: Guys & Ghouls – Newport & Carisbrooke Parish Council
VICTORIA RECREATION GROUND, NEWPORT| TUESDAY 5TH NOVEMBER | 16:30 – 21:30

Newport & Carisbrooke Parish Council present Newport’s firework show for 2019 – Guys & Ghouls!
Food vendors, bar, sideshows, music by Rockafellas, children’s fancy dress competition.
Tickets priced at £6 for adults, £4 for children. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
POSTPONED: Rotary Club of Ryde Fireworks Extravaganza
HAYLANDS PRIMARY SCHOOL, RYDE | SATURDAY 2ND NOVEMBER | 17:30 – 22:30
FIREWORKS: 19:00 – Postponed until 9th November 2019.
The Rotary Club of Ryde, supported by Ryde Town Council, will be hosting their annual Fireworks Extravaganza at Haylands Primary School on 2nd November.
As well as the fireworks themselves, there will be plenty of entertainment, a BBQ, ice cream and a variety of hot/cold drinks.
Eyes will be to the skies for 19:00.
Tickets are priced at £4 per head or a family ticket (2 adults, 2 children) at £14. Tickets are available from Haylands Primary School office or at the gate on the day.
In case of adverse weather, the display will be rescheduled for 9th November 2019 at the same time.

Kicking off on Sandown Esplanade from 16:00 with family fun and entertainment, music and a range of hot food stalls! All evening Bay Entertainment will be playing the latest tunes and your requests.

18:00 – Jukebox Jazz perform near the pier
18:15 – Ryde Extreme Performers Fire Show on the beach

19:10- Shademakers Carnival Dance at the main stage

20:00 – Our biggest ever Firework Finale fired from Sandown Pier
Plus come and meet Captain America, Wonder Woman, Bumblebee, Bobby Bear and Cheeko the friendly squirrel from 18:00. Lots of sideshows including bungee trampolines, cork shooting and vintage amusements will also be on hand to keep you entertained through this action-packed event.

Isle of Wight Community Club Fireworks
ISLE OF WIGHT COMMUNITY CLUB, PARK ROAD, COWES | SATURDAY 2ND NOVEMBER | 19:30
The Isle of Wight Community Club will host their free fireworks display this November.
The event gets underway at 19:30 and the bar will be open throughout the evening.
Free parking is available.
Fireworks at the Spyglass Inn, Ventnor
SPYGLASS INN, VENTNOR | TUESDAY 5TH NOVEMBER | 19:00 – 23:00
FIREWORKS BETWEEN 19:00 – 19:30
Head to the Spyglass on 5th November and enjoy Firework Night with a marvellous firework display.
Each year The Spyglass Inn organises a firework display for the whole of Ventnor to enjoy, free of charge. So why not take a walk down to the seafront and get a front-row seat to all the action here at The Spyglass? Indulge in something delicious from our main menu or specials board and enjoy a drink or two whilst you’re here.

Bonfire & Firework Night at The White Horse Inn
WHITE HORSE INN, WHITWELL | TUESDAY 5TH NOVEMBER | 19:00
The White Horse Inn in Whitwell will once again be holding their annual bonfire and fireworks night on Tuesday 5th November.
The bonfire is due to be lit at around 19:00 and fireworks soon after.
There will be burgers and hotdogs for sale on the night.
Yarmouth Guy Fawkes Night
THE SQUARE, YARMOUTH | TUESDAY 5TH NOVEMBER | 18:00
Yarmouth’s Guy Fawkes Night celebrations are hosted each year by the Yarmouth Carnival Committee, providing a fun evening for all the family!
The evening includes a Guy competition in the square, a torchlight parade to the Common, followed by the annual fireworks display.
There will be a range of food and drinks available, including; hog roast and mulled wine.
This bonfire night event in Yarmouth gets underway at 18:00 in Yarmouth Square.
