More than 60 lady golfers from across the Isle of Wight recently competed in the President’s Frolic at Cowes Golf Club, raising £132 for Mountbatten Hospice through a raffle held at the event.
The golfers were welcomed by Janet Roberts, President of the IWLGA. This is the first time the President’s Frolic has been played since 2019.
In a closely fought contest, 2 teams shared 1st place.
The 2 teams were: Carol Taylor from Newport, Lorrie Hawkins and Susan White from Shanklin & Sandown with Rosie Walshe from Cowes, who tied with Christine O’Brien from Shanklin & Sandown, Val Mardell and Sheila Coudell from Newport and Pat Young from Freshwater Bay.
