Isle of Wight golfer Brandon Robinson-Thompson has hit fine form over the last 3 weeks, winning the Farmfoods Scottish Challenge at Newmachar Golf Club. Defending his title at the Irish challenge on the Challenge Tour, Brandon found himself leading going into the final round – and shot a Sunday round of level par to finish 13 under for the week and a solo 3rd finish. Last week, Brandon was at the Farmfoods Scottish Challenge held at Newmachar Golf Club on the Challenge Tour. After 4 rounds of 67, 67, 62 and 66 for a total of 262 – 22 under par – Brandon won his 2nd Challenge Tour title in 2 years, winning by 8, moving him up to 9th in the Road to Mallorca rankings. Brandon has now swapped the Challenge Tour for the DP World Tour at the D+D Real Czech Masters, Prague at PGA National Oaks at the weekend. After 4 rounds of 65, 68, 69 and 70, Robinson-Thompson posted a score of 272 – 16 under par – which was enough for a brilliant 4-way tie for 6th place. Brandon is now off to Denmark this week for the Danish Golf championship, hoping to carry on his fine form. His scores on Thursday will be reported on Sky Sports Golf, the DP World Tour website and on Island Echo.
