The Isle of Wight’s Brandon Robinson-Thompson won his 5th professional golf tournament of the year with his first victory on the Challenge Tour on Sunday (30th July).
Continuing his great run of form that brought back to back wins on the Clutch Pro Tour and 59th place at The Open Championship in Royal Liverpool, Brandon won the Irish Challenge at Headfort GC, Co Meath, Ireland.
Brandon capped off a life-changing month in his professional career with a closing 4 under par round of 67. He had entered the final day 2 shots off the lead but carded 5 birdies and 1 bogey to climb to the top of the leader board on 12 under par and win by 2 shots.
The Isle of Wight golfer achieved his victory ahead of fellow Englishman Will Enefer and American Jordan Gumberg, who shared 2nd place on 10 under. Scotland’s Ryan Lumsden finished 4th on 9 under par.
