Brandon Robinson-Thompson has finished 3rd in the Qatar Masters at Doha Golf Club – part of the DP World Tour.
The Isle of Wight golfer led after Day 2 of the competition but was eventually beaten by winner Haotong Li (China) and Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen (Denmark), who came 2nd.
Brandon completed the course 13 under par with rounds of 66, 68, 71 and 70 – 2 shots behind runner up Neergaard-Petersen and 3 behind Li.
His 3rd-place finish has earned him 151,790 euros in prize money (£126,500).
This was the 2nd time the 32-year-old has led a DP world tour event in recent weeks. In the previous DP World Tour event in Bahrain, Brandon led after the first round with a remarkable round of 61 – breaking the course record – but eventually fell back to finish 8th.
The 32-year-old is next in action on 20th February when he competes in the Magical Kenya Open in Nairobi.
Brandon is currently 23rd in the Race to Dubai Rankings – a rise of 61 places – having taken part in 5 tournaments, gaining 307 points.
