Former Ventnor cricketers Adam Hose and Danny Briggs have been putting in some impressive performances for their respective counties: Worcestershire and Warwickshire.
Hose 1st hit 84 in Worcestershire’s win over Leicestershire in the County Championship. Later in the week, Hose struck 61 runs from 40 balls in Worcestershire Rapids’ 15-run victory over Northamptonshire Steelbacks in the opening game of their 2023 Vitality Blast campaign. Hose’s innings included 2 6s and 6 4s.
In the following game, Hose hit 44 in the Rapids’ 2-wicket win over Yorkshire. In his latest appearance in the Blast, Adam only managed 13 as Worcestershire beat Leicestershire Foxes by 33 runs.
Meanwhile, spinner Danny Briggs has been in the wickets for Birmingham Bears in the Blast.
On Friday, Briggs bagged 3 wickets in Birmingham Bears 5-wicket win over Leicestershire Foxes. This Monday, Danny took 4 wickets as the Bears beat Lancashire Lightning at Edgbaston by 7 wickets.
Briggs cleaned up the Lancashire tail with 3 wickets in 4 balls with 31 balls of their innings remaining. This was only the 3rd occasion in which Lancashire have failed to reach 100 in T20 cricket.
Danny is on a hat trick for his next Blast appearance against Northamptonshire on Wednesday.
