Isle of Wight cricket star Adam Hose — who recently signed for Worcestershire — is set to play for the Adelaide Strikers as one of their 3 overseas players in one of the world’s biggest T20 tournaments, the Big Bash, which starts on 13th December.
The 29-year-old — who was born on the Island and attended Carisbrooke High School — will feature in a team captained by Australia batsman Travis Head, who, like Adam, has played for Ventnor Cricket Club.
Adam has achieved success in white ball cricket with the bat this season with the Birmingham Bears in the Vitality Blast, in which he finished as the 3rd leading run-scorer in the competition, smashing 558 runs at an average of 55.70 and earning a call-up for the England Lions squad against South Africa.
Adam has said:
“I am completely over the moon to be signing for the Strikers. I consider Adelaide as a 2nd home for me. I’m so happy to go back there to play with some friends and what looks like an excellent squad.”
The Island cricketer’s 1st game for Adelaide Strikers will be at home against the Sydney Sixers.
