Adam achieved the 2,000 milestone in 75 games with an average of 30 runs. The winning runs were scored in the Bears’ 6-wicket victory over Northampton Steelbacks on Wednesday (22nd June).
Chasing a Northamptonshire total of 212, the 29-year-old cricketer guided the Bears to a crucial victory with 7 balls to spare, scoring an unbeaten 63 runs – including 3 4s and 4 6s – off 44 balls. Fellow Isle of Wight cricketer Danny Briggs also bowled 4 overs for the Bears.
After the game, Adam said:
“I’m just taking each game as they come at the moment and embrace every day. I am seeing the ball nicely, but I put that down to the work I’ve been doing. It’s great to be contributing to the team’s success and long may that continue.”
