Kindred Found have been named Radio Wigwam’s Classic Rock & Blues Band of the Year after a global listener vote, with the award presented at a ceremony in London.
Isle of Wight band Kindred Found have won the Classic Rock & Blues Band of the Year title at the Radio Wigwam Awards, an honour decided entirely by public vote.
The award followed a worldwide poll involving hundreds of thousands of Radio Wigwam listeners, with Kindred Found finishing in the top 10 acts overall and earning an invitation to the awards ceremony at London’s Bedford Hotel. The Isle of Wight group were ultimately announced as category winners on the night, a result they described as “gobsmacking”.
Radio Wigwam is well known for supporting independent and grassroots music across classic rock, blues and alternative genres, with a global listenership and awards determined solely by audience votes rather than industry panels.
Kindred Found are known for their blues-rock sound, combining gritty riffs, driving rhythms and roots-influenced grooves with a strong emphasis on original material. Their music draws on classic rock and blues traditions while maintaining a modern, punchy edge that has helped them build a loyal following both on the Isle of Wight and beyond.
The band’s line-up features Dave Eastman on lead vocals and guitar, Dan Smith on lead guitar and vocals, Tom Daly on bass, Andy Brining on drums, and Mark Line, who adds harmonica and additional instrumentation that broadens the band’s sonic palette.
The win marks a significant milestone for Kindred Found and places the Isle of Wight firmly in the spotlight on an international blues and classic rock stage.
