Asda remains closed today (Tuesday) after a power outage forced it to shut yesterday (Monday).
The St George’s Way supermarket closed abruptly on Monday due to the loss of power and has confirmed it is still temporarily closed while the issue is resolved.
Engineers are on site working to restore power as quickly as possible, with store colleagues making efforts to ensure the supermarket can reopen and return to normal trading as soon as it is safe to do so.
Customers expecting online deliveries are being contacted directly by the retailer to explain what the disruption means for their orders. Where appropriate, gestures of goodwill are being offered.
An update is expected once more information becomes available. It is not yet known when the store will reopen.

Might be to do with all the works being carried out
near by.
The article says it was a power outage and engineers are on site restoring supply. That’s not “works nearby,” that’s an electrical fault. Not everything needs a conspiracy angle.
He said “might” dude, chill out.
Anyone got a shilling for the meter?
Oddly thry just had a company come in and do stock checks. Then magically A Power cut and shut down. Bit odd on the timing.
