48-year-old Gino Dent and 42-year-old Robert Godley have been charged in connection with the discovery of a huge cannabis farm in Newport almost 2 years ago. It was in June 2022 that around 100 cannabis plants – worth an estimated £100,000 – were located in a warehouse at Little London. The commercial premises and a Vauxhall Astra car were cordoned off by Police following the raid. Dozens of black bags filled with the Class B drug were later removed from the property. Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed that 48-year-old Gino Dent, of no fixed abode, has been charged with 1 count of being concerned in the production of cannabis, and possession of a Class A drug (cocaine). 42-year-old Robert Godley, of Sea Street in Newport, has been charged with 1 count of permitting production on a premises of a Class B drug. The pair will appear at the Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (7th May).
