Bembridge RNLI’s Inshore lifeboat ‘Norman Harvey’ launched to investigate reports of a small speedboat that had broken down in Whitecliff Bay yesterday afternoon (Saturday).
Launching at around 16:40, the Inshore Lifeboat (ILB) did not take long to locate the boat with 2 people onboard, however they had by then managed to resolve their problem and restarted their engine.
Having satisfied themselves that no further assistance was required, the ILB returned to Lane End and was recovered by 17:15.
