An inquest has opened into the unascertained death of a former Isle of Wight woman who died in Cyprus.
78-year-old Linda Ann Crossley was found deceased in her home in the Cypriot city of Paphos on the 27th October 2024.
Born in Croydon, Ms Crossley’s family were alerted to her death by her landlord.
The 78-year-olds body was repatriated to the Island where Ms Crossley’s family reside. Island Echo understands that Ms Crossley was a well-known antiquarian.
A post mortem examination conducted at St Mary’s Hospital on the 28th November was unable to ascertain the cause of Ms Crossley’s death.
HM Senior Coroner for the Isle of Wight Caroline Sumeray adjourned the case until the provisional date of 14th November.
