An independent opticians in Cowes is celebrating a major achievement as a key team member successfully completes her optical apprenticeship, with further team development in the pipeline.
Charlotte Haynes’ accomplishment is the result of 18 months of dedication through Woodspeen training, while working as an Optical Assistant at Willetts & Doig Optometrists.
Her success underscores the practice’s commitment to investing in their team to provide the highest standard of eye care for the local community.
Now a fully qualified Optical Assistant, Charlotte assists patients with frame selection, lens options, and ensuring a tailored experience.
Charlotte says:
“My apprenticeship has given me the knowledge, skills, and confidence to provide high-quality eye care to the community. I’ve learned how to carry out pre-screening tests, assist patients in choosing the right eyewear, and educate them on the importance of eye health.
“Throughout this experience, I’ve developed strong communication skills, allowing me to support patients with different needs, whether it’s reassuring nervous patients, advising on lens options, or explaining how to care for their glasses.”
