Saturday saw the busiest Grotto at Freshwater Lifeboat Station ever, with 135 children chatting with Santa in just 4 hours.
Santas Treasure Chest was won by Sam Hall and her children Jacob and Emilie Heaph. Sam was totally delighted as she has been coming to the FILB grotto since the children were very tiny, and has a photo taken every year with Santa, who of course has not aged a bit.
Santa told us:
“It was so gratifying in these horrid times to see so many children’s faces, obviously really enjoying themselves last Saturday dashing around the bay to find treasure tokens to take to my big red bus.”
Overall it was a huge success, and although it was a free event an amazing £575 was donated to Freshwater Independent Lifeboat’s funds.
