Hovertravel commuters are making a dash for the Fastcat this evening (Tuesday) as services have been suspended for the rest of the day due to a technical issue.
Just 1 of the 2 Flyer craft have been available for operations between Ryde and Southsea, but a technical problem has rendered that craft unserviceable.
As a result, the cross-Solent operation has ground to a halt – with an update not expected until 06:00 on Wednesday morning.
Hovertravel tickets are being accepted on Wightlink’s Fastcat service between Ryde Pier Head-Portsmouth Harbour.
UPDATE WEDNESDAY – Hovertravel services are once again operating to timetable.
