Westridge golfer Peter Dixcey made history this week by sinking the first ever hole-in-one on the club’s new sixth hole – rounding off a remarkable run of victories in fine style.
Fresh from being part of the winning team in the Autumn Shield, Peter claimed the inaugural Dennis Wilson Memorial Salver with a score of 21 points, finishing 2 clear of Glen Winnard (19pts) and Steve Sansford (18pts).
The competition marked the close of the Senior League season, with players celebrating their best-ever fifth place in the League at a post-round lunch.
Still in inspired form, Peter went on to win the 9 Hole Stableford later in the week – a triumph highlighted by his historic ace on the 6th, officially the first hole-in-one ever recorded on the new layout.
